The YD-530 Yaw Damper dampens short yaw and Dutch roll motions of the aircraft, stabilizing the yaw axis. It receives and yaw/roll information from sensors of the aircraft control system – accelerometers and rate gyroscopes – and produces a proportional output signal to appropriately position the aircraft rudder.
