The McDonnell Douglas DC8, DC9, MD 11, MD-80, MD 90 and DC10 were delivered with Butler National Switching Units on board to handle the complex task of switching hundreds of communication navigation, and flight control functions simultaneously at the flip of a switch.
Each Butler National Switching Unit is housed in a conventional ATR enclosure for convenient mounting in the standard radio rack.
