Butler National has more than 25 years of experience managing gaming facilities, under state law and the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act. Current activities include the management of the Boot Hill Casino & Resort (for the State of Kansas). Butler National first entered the Gaming industry in the 1990’s with the design, development, construction, and day-to-day management of the first gaming operations in Northeast Oklahoma at The Stables Casino. Butler National competed for, designed, constructed, and now manages the Boot Hill Casino & Resort.
About the Boot Hill Casino
Following the enactment of the Kansas Expanded Lottery Act (KELA), Butler National competed for a contract to manage a Lottery Gaming Facility for the State of Kansas. In 2008, Butler National Service Corporation (a Butler National Corporation subsidiary) proposed and was awarded a contract to manage the Boot Hill Casino & Resort in Dodge City. The Boot Hill Casino opened in December of 2009.
The lottery gaming facility features approximately 500 gaming machines. Table games include Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, and other popular games. Amenities include the Firesides Restaurant and adjacent event center.
The Boot Hill Casino is connected to the United Wireless Arena. The adjacent conference center, connected to the Boot Hill Casino & Resort by the breezeway, is named the “Boot Hill Casino and Resort Conference Center”.
Sports Wagering
Butler National supported Kansans efforts to legalize sports wagering. On the 2022 Kansas legislative session, Senate Bill 84, an amendment of the Kansas Expanded Lottery Act, authorized sports wagering. The governor signed the bill establishing state-wide sports wagering. Butler National subsidiary BHCMC, LLC (manager) of the Boot Hill Casino has, subject to Kansas regulator approvals, contracted with DraftKings to support management services to the Kansas Lottery for sports wagering with the DraftKings sports wagering platform.
