Dodge City, Kansas (August 12, 2025) – Boot Hill Casino & Resort managed by BHCMC, LLC, a subsidiary of Butler National Corporation (OTCQX: BUKS), in collaboration with Best Western® GLō Dodge City, proudly announces the groundbreaking of a new, modern hotel, GLō by the Casino, set to enhance the region’s hospitality offerings and boost tourism in Southwestern Kansas.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held this morning near the Boot Hill Casino & Resort property, marking the official start of construction on the upscale, boutique-style hotel. With an expected completion timeline of approximately 15–16 months, the hotel is slated to open in late 2026, welcoming guests with contemporary amenities and close proximity to the entertainment and gaming experiences offered at Boot Hill Casino & Resort.
“This groundbreaking represents the start of a construction project and is a key milestone in our continued investment in Dodge City and the region’s growing tourism economy,” said Chris Reedy, Chief Executive Officer of Butler National Corporation. “We’re excited to work with the Cunningham family and the Best Western GLō and bring a fresh, elevated lodging option to our guests.”
The event was attended by local officials, community leaders, and representatives from both Boot Hill Casino and Best Western Dodge City. Remarks were given by city leadership and economic development partners, highlighting the project’s role in driving economic growth, job creation, and expanded guest experiences.
Featuring a sleek design, smart technology, and lifestyle-focused features, the Best Western GLō at the Casino will cater to travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and entertainment – all within walking distance of Boot Hill Casino’s gaming floor, Firesides Restaurant, DraftKings Sportsbook, and United Wireless Arena. The four-story hotel will feature 102 rooms, indoor pool, fitness room, large breakfast area, a self-pour beer and beverage station, meeting room, and business center.
“GLō by Best Western is designed to meet the expectations of today’s travelers while reflecting the unique character of the communities we serve,” said Bill Cunningham, Owner, Best Western Hotels Dodge City. “We’re proud to partner with Boot Hill Casino on this exciting new venture.”
The new hotel will complement Boot Hill Casino’s existing commitment to Southwest Kansas through initiatives like the TRAIL Program and scholarships with Fort Hays State University aimed at building the future of hospitality and tourism in the region.
