Electronic Switching Units

Butler National Corporation provides dependable switching unit products to the commercial aviation industry. Applications included the McDonnell Douglas DC8, DC9, MD 11, MD-80, MD 90 or DC10 – factory delivered with Butler National Switching Units on board to handle the complex task of switching hundreds of communication navigation functions simultaneously at the flip of a switch. The robust switching-unit design stems from the 1960’s.

Transient Suppression Device (TSD)

The Butler TSD provides a solution to the Federal Aviation Administration requirements to protect aircraft fuel tanks from hazardous energy levels that may be introduced through the Fuel Quantity Indicating System (FQIS) wiring. Designs range from small jet applications to auxiliary fuel tank systems on commercial airplanes to Boeing 747 aircraft.
